Friday lunch at Restoran Kolam Ikan

Today 2 hours friday lunch break, we (me, CS and MK) went to Restoran Kolam Ikan. The restaurant was located at one of the houses at the residential area along Jln Serdang and it was just in front of Kulim avenue, you may find the signboard beside Jln Serdang.

We ordered steamed fish, 3-tastes fried fish, curry meat and vegetables plus white rice and chinese herb drinks. The food was delicious and the price was about RM76.

Sleepless night

Last night was a sleepless night for me, I only managed to sleep at about 4 something in the morning and need to wake up at about 7am for work.

In the office, both MK and JC suspected maybe because of the carbonated drink (Pepsi) that I consumed quite late last night at about 10pm. I was surprised and I just get to know that carbonated drink contains caffeine...

I'm not sure whether this was the reason why I can't get to sleep last night but for sure I'll think twice before taking any carbonated drink late at night starting from today.

Studio sports shop closing sale at Carrefour, SJ

Today went to Carrefour Seberang Jaya and found out the the Studio sport shop was having the closing sales. There was a lot of people in the shop and I was so happy and quickly joining the crowd... managed to get a few discounted Adidas and Nike tops and shorts for BS and my dad... hehehe... so happy with the shopping!

 According to the cashier, the shop will be closing in July 2012.

Penang Bridge Marathon 2012 registration

Finally after talking this for about 3 years, I have registered the Penang Bridge International Marathon, 10K open category for RM40 (early bird).

There was a reason why I'm saying that I've been talking this for 3 years, some of my friends know about the story. Actually I have planned to register for Penang Bridge Marathon since 3 years ago, but because of some reason, I chose not to join the marathon:

Year 2009 - Pregnancy - first child
Year 2010 - Pregnancy - second child
Year 2011 - Just had my cesarean section

BS had also registered for the Marathon and we have to come out a plan on how and who will take care our boys that day.

Today's dessert - Black glutinous rice dessert

Today lunch time, I was using my RM2 subsidy to scan for black glutinous rice dessert.
Ingredients: black glutinous rice, dried longan and coconut milk.

Ricky

Ricky is our new family member, my dad adopted him last week from his friend. A very cute puppy and even Yu Ming and Zi Ming likes him so much, although Yu Ming afraid when Ricky was trying to bite his legs because of teething.

Yu Ming used a long stick to play with Ricky because he like to bite because of teething. Zi Ming enjoyed seeing how Yu Ming played with Ricky and laughed when watching the puppy and Yu Ming running around.

17th May birthday

Two of my colleauges were celebrating their birthday today, they were born in the same month and the same day but in different year.

During lunch time, me and CS went to Honey Bakery at Tmn Selasih to had our lunch and then purchased a small blueberry cake from the bakery.

We had a small birthday cake cutting celebration at our company canteen during tea time. MK, Diana and KK were also joing us on the short and meaningful birthday celebration.

Lunch at Honey Bakery

Today me and CS were having our lunch at Honey Bakery Tmn Selasih. Actually we went there with an intention to purchase a birthday cake for Grace and BC as a surprise for their birthday today. 

CS was ordering an ice-kacang and "Wat Tan Hor" (滑蛋河) and I was ordering Hakka Mee (客家面).

For the birthday cake, we purchased a blueberry cake which was just fresh out from the factory today.

Breakfast at Apollo market

After sending little Zi Ming to baby sitter, me and BS went to Apollo market to buy some fresh vegetables and meats and also to have our breakfast.

We went to one of the food court in the market for breakfast.

I ordered wanton mee and chicken feet (RM4) which was recommended by BS. For me, I think the wanton mee was good but the chicken feet's taste was much better, I'm sure that I'll be coming for second time because of the delicious chicken feet.

 BS ordered Hokkien mee (RM3).

Zi Ming 9th Month Checkup

Today Zi Ming went for his 9th month regular checkup at Mak Mandin government clinic. We reached there at about 8.10am and there was not so many people maybe because today is Wednesday.

Waited for about 10 minutes and it's our turn for little Zi Ming's length and weight measurement. After that we waited for another 15 minutes for the consultation. For 9th month old baby checkup there was no immunisation injection. After that, I went for pap smear which the process was only taken less than 10 minutes.

So at around 8.50am, we were done! Quite a fast process and everyone were happy and no complaints... :)

ESSO BKE

I usually like to go to Esso BKE to fuel up my car, one reason is because I want to earn my Smile card point but the main reason is the best service provided so far at any petrol station I know.

The cashier is always polite and serve with a big smile. Besides that, for any RM50 and above, they'll give out a 1.5 liter bottled drinking water.

The attendant will help to fuel up the car with a polite and friendly smile and will greet us 'thank you' after that.

Today's dinner: Nasi Lemak

For today's dinner, I've planned to buy the nasi lemak which was located in front of Mr.DIY shop Jln Raja Uda, it was just beside Sin Tatt Food Court. I always see a lot of people queuing at the stall when on my way to fetch little Zi Ming. It was a motorcycle modified its back part to become a small stall to sell nasi lemak.

Actually if I was not mistaken it was only white rice and not really a coconut milk rice (nasi lemak), maybe they put the name because nasi lemak is the common phrase for this type of packed rice.

I purchased the small one which was only RM2.20.

After that, I went to Sin Tatt food court which was just beside the stall and bought some snacks.

My nasi lemak, looked tempting and tasted very good.

My snack, the fried wanton was good but the mini burger was too oily for me.



Today's dinner: McD's Chicken Foldover

Today I need to fetch little Zi Ming earlier from our baby sitter because she need to go to fetch her grand-daughter from Guang Hwa primary school as her husband was out for a few days.

So I decided to go for McDonald's Drive-Thru at Caltex Sunway Prai. I bought the new Chicken Foldover (limited time only).

I also purchased 2 new toys - Barbie & Hotwheels. I planned to give Barbie to Isha and Hotwheels to my boys.

Today I let Yu Ming to try to take photo with my dummy camera as he has been requesting to play with it since very long ago...

Zi Ming was trying and succeeded

Little Zi Ming was trying to climb up to one of their toy vehicle today and finally succeeded. Let's see the process...

It was not an easy task for this little guy to stabilize himself while trying to climb up the toy car.

Take some rest first by trying to put on his granny's shoes.

Finally, I was holding the toy car and he managed to climb up the vehicle and then sit properly

 Zi Ming was so happy with the achievement he made.

Yu Ming 2 years old checkup

Today Yu Ming will go for his 2 years old regular checkup at Kulim government clinic. In the morning, we sent little Zi Ming to his granny's house before going for checkup.


Reached there about 10am, but as usual there were a lot of people going for maternity and children checkup on Sunday.


While waiting for our turn, we let Yu Ming to walk and play around with his new friends.

At about 11.15am, it's Yu Ming's turn to measure his height and weight. Waited for another 20 mins, it's our turn for consultation. For 2 years old checkup, there was no immunisation injection but it is time for oral consume intestinal parasites medication syrup (ubat cacing). The nurse gave us the medication and advised us to let Yu Ming consume at night before his sleep.

For next visit, we were advised to change the date to Monday because we do not want long queue as most people was choosing Sunday.

Playing in the baby cot

Yu Ming likes to play in Zi Ming's baby cot, he always ask me to carry him into the baby cot. As for me, I need to be extra careful in looking after them because sometimes they'll be fighting and biting inside the cot and then will be followed by a very loud screaming and crying.... Stressful! Sometimes, they're still able to enjoy playing and squeezing together in the small baby cot.

Friday lunch at Secret Recipe

Today me, JC, MY and SY went to had our friday lunch at Secret Recipe Lunas. Others not joining because they need to prepare for tools demo and they're having their quick lunch at Canteen.

Our orders were more than RM40 and with Citibank credit card we were entitled for 1 free slice of any cheese cake.

Today's dinner: Triple Chicken Sensation Pizza (Pizza Hut)

Today' dinner, I bought this new limited time only Triple Chicken Sensation Pizza from Pizza Hut. The pizza was quite delicious and I would recommend this for anyone who wanted to try this new pizza.

Today lunch at OLDTOWN White Cofee

Today Me, Grace, MK, CS and JC went to the newly open OLDTOWN white coffee at Kulim Landamark Central, it is just beside or considered under the Tune Hotel Kulim.

We ordered special lunch set but waited for at least 40 minutes to get our food, maybe the workers were still new and not familiar. Thanks MK for the Friday lunch.

Q2 team building

Today is our department team building. This morning, I was working from home until about 10.15am and then headed to Carrefour to meet up with others for car pool to Penang island. We reached 30mins earlier at Gurney Paragon which was about 12pm, Gurney Paragon is built around the restored St. Joseph's Novitiate building.

Took a walk and see around the building before the lunch at Italiannies.

After the team building activities and before going back to mainland, 4 of us stopped for the famous 3rd Road Penang Hokkien mee at Lebuh Pregrave (about 7pm).
