This week's new toy - plush toy grab machine

BS brought this new toy back on Monday night after his work... It was a plush toy grab machine.. for home use, just for fun :) We requested his China counterpart to buy this item for us in taobao and bring it over to Malaysia during his business trip around end of the year... He was happily agreed but was surprised when the parcel arrived at his place... because it was quite a big parcel :P, so he had to check in the whole box during his flight to Malaysia. According to BS, most of his colleagues were quite interested when they see the product (I think just seen it from the web) that we bought. Actually, I first saw this machine was during our gathering at BC Soon house early this year where YB brought this machine and everyone (the kids) were so interested to play with it. Since BS's friend is able to buy and bring it over, so we decided to buy one, the total price was RMB115... we were not able to play it on Monday night because we didn't have the batteries, it required 3 bigger size batteries to operate. After we bought the batteries on Tuesday, the boys were having fun slotting in the toy coin and grabbing the toys.

Chinese Medicine

Yesterday morning on the way to my office, I sent Yu Ming to his granny's house because he was having a serious cough and phlegm, some flu and fever, so we decided not to send him to school... After taking medicine for a few days, both the boys still not showing much improvement, so we decided to go for Chinese Medicine Practitioner.

After my work, I went to fetch Yu Ming from Kulim and Zi Ming from baby sitter at Raja Uda, we then went to the Chinese Medicine Practitioner near our condo... it's almost 7.20pm when we reached there and luckily it still haven't close for consultation...

He didn't cough at all during his 45 mins journey to his granny house this morning and Zi Ming didn't cough at all during his sleep time at night.

Fun @ Padang Kota Lama (The Esplanade) Penang

Yesterday, after had our late lunch/tea time at Old Town Kopitiam Lebuh Gereja, we went to Padang Kota Lama to let the boys to have some fun in the play ground... @4pm - Sunday..

Made In Penang Interactive Museum

Yesterday, we went to Made In Penang Interactive Museum (3D Gallery), we departed from Lunas at around 12pm... This museum is one of the latest attractions in Penang, there were so many people sharing their visit in Facebook and finally we were there :)

Made In Penang was located at No.3, Weld Quay (Pengkalan Weld), Georgetown, very near to the jetty. It's soft launch on 1 Nov 2013, the ticket price was RM15(My Card) and for Kid/Student was RM10(MyKid/Student Card).

Both my boys were free entry because they're still below the height required to purchase the tickets. 4 of us (my dad, my 2 younger sisters and I) have to show our My Card and pay RM15 each, so total was RM60.

Lunch @ Full House Times Square Penang

Our lunch at Full House Times Square Penang. This was our first visit, the environment was good and spacious,  customers were allowed to walk around the 2 storeys restaurant and take photos... The boys were enjoying walking around. Not many customers although it was Saturday and during lunch hours. Hmm... actually the foods were quite disappointing... shouldn't expect too much at the first place... but I think the price quite reasonable since the environment was so nice and it was located inside a shopping complex... so I would say eat for the environment ;)

Today's lunch break

Today's Friday 2 hours lunch break... we (Grace, CS and I) went to Master Choo at Kulim Landmark Mall to have our lunch and then went to OFO for some shopping.

Shopped from OFO: 10pcs of kids pants (Officially started our CNY shopping), 3 sets of 2@RM20 & 2 sets of 2@RM8, good quality and cheap... Total RM76 for all 10 pcs.

Today's lunch

Today's lunch:

1. Winter melon soup (pork ribs, winter melon & carrots)

2. Chicken vegetables dhal (Chicken, dhal, eggplants, potatoes and carrots)

3. French beans fried egg

4. Fried chicken

5. Steam fish

I cooked the winter melon soup using the new steamer that I received yesterday, we noticed that the soup was super clear... and that made me cleared why the steamer have some dark color stuff leftover...

My new toys this week

Received my new cute toys today.. online shopping :)

1.2L mini rice cooker with some accessories.
1L mini steamer with some accessories.
2L 3-layers mini steamer with some accessories.

Both the boys thought they were their play sets (so cute and mini), they're so happily opened the boxes and started to play masak masak while I was reading the user manual and taking photos.

Wisdom tooth

Finally today I went to the dental near our house to get my wisdom tooth extracted. I was having the wisdom tooth decay for months and it was only started to become painful since last few weeks.

First the dentist took the x-ray of my mouth before determine to perform the removal by normal extraction or surgery. Luckily the tooth could be removed without surgery :). Then the dentist gave a local anesthetic to numb the tooth and the surrounding area. I waited for about half an hour in order for the anesthetic to come into effect. It took about 5 minutes for the dentist to pull out my wisdom tooth and luckily no stitches... was given paracetamol as pain killer and expected to have some pain for a few days near the swollen gum.

Lunch at Penang Road Famous Teochew Cendol @ Bagan Ajam

Last few weeks BS and I had our lunch at Penang Road Famous Teochew Cendol Restaurant at Bagan Ajam, Butterworth. The environment was good, spacious and clean but the presentation of the cendol a little bit disappointing... The photos in the menu and actual photo of our order :)...

Lunch at The Tavern Steak House, Kulim Hi-Tech Park

Today I went to lunch with SY, I told her about this steak house quite some time ago but it was closed every time we passed by the restaurant. Finally today we tried for the first time and it was actually quite disappointing, but I'll still give us a second chance to try its spaghetti next time.

I ordered lamb shoulder and SY ordered grilled chicken cutler...
The dissapointment I mentioned earlier:
For my order, there were a few slices of grilled lamb shoulder but 1 of them was uncooked.
For SY's order, the sauce was very light (not strong enough), we would say the sauce made the chicken not satisfying... maybe we have used to quite strong taste and thicker sauce.

Other than that, the mushroom cream was quite delicious :).

2013 Department annual dinner

Last night was our department annual dinner... The venue was Evergreen hotel at Penang Island and the theme was Colorful.

I think the most enjoyable event was the photo booth where you can take instant photo... :)

Lunch at Face to Face Noodles House @ Seberang Jaya

Last few days, our lunch at 面对面 Face to Face Noodles House at Seberang Jaya.. I ordered the Traditional Sarawak Noodles (kolok mee) and it tasted good, but to clarify i never try Sarawak Kolok Mee before, so can't do the comparison. BS ordered Pan Mee and he was giving quite a good comment and will be coming back...

Anyhow, our side order - curry samosa was a disappointment, not meeting our expectation since the noodles were so delicious...

Bite

This morning just noticed that Zi Ming's cheek was bitten by elder brother Yu Ming last night... a whole mouth of teeth... pity little Zi Ming.

Today's lunch

BS went to Penang this morning to attend his friend's wedding. Then I decided to cook my kids' favorite food for lunch... pasta and fried chicken...

My new watch

Today received a classic watch from BS :) Actually I have been looking for this type of watch for quite some time and finally BS bought it from Amazon... happy♥

Dessert after dinner

Last 2 weeks at my in law's house, my MIL made me a cup of delicious 'Kurma' milk shake for my dessert after dinner... yummy♥ while the boys were having blueberries and apples.

Lunch at Jln Kampung Benggali

Monday was our company replacement holiday for Merdeka day. Yu Ming was going to school and it was a day off for Zi Ming's baby sitter. BS brought us to go have our lunch at one of the kopitiam at Jln Kampung Benggali.  Both us of ordered fried rice and I ordered a glass of coconut water... After the lunch, we went to ta bao the famous soybean drink which was just opposite the kopitiam.

Yu Ming @ clinic

last Saturday night,  Yu Ming's left foot was injured and bleeding caused by the steel wire attached on my in law's house's gate. We brought him to one of the clinic at Kulim to get some medication.

Yeye's birthday dinner

We went to Che Go Korean BBQ restaurant at Aeon Bandar Perda for my FIL's birthday dinner on last Saturday... My sister in law was coming back in the afternoon and going back to KL again the next day evening...

Futsal

Last Saturday was Merdeka day,  BS had a futsal match (Departmental match) at Kelang Lama. He went out early together with YV to had breakfast before their match. Their match started at 8.30am. Me and the kids arrived to watch their match at around 10.30 am.

There was an available futsal field at the futsal center and some kids were playing, both our boys joined the kids.

BS finished their game at around 12.30 pm and they were the champion. :-)

Yeye's 63rd birthday

Yesterday was my FIL's 63rd birthday,  so we decided to overnight at kulim since we'll be having a small and simple birthday celebration at my in law's house.

I bought a very small and cute birthday cake for my FIL. He asked us not to buy any cake this round because they had concern on finishing it and also on health reason... we know that he likes cake so we decided to buy a small cake from Weeney bakery... It was a chocolate mango cake (250g).  BS also bought some KFC fried chicken and my MIL cooked some soup and fried noodles.  My FIL plan to have the birthday lunch the next day together with my sister in law because she will be coming back from KL the next day morning.

Merdeka! Malaysia National Day

Today is Malaysia National Day (Independence day)... yesterday Yu Ming brought back a self made merdeka hat and a Malaysia flag from his school. He was so happy and was wearing it all the way from Butterworth to Kulim...

The boys' hair cut

The boys were having their hair cut last Sunday at one of the barber shop in Kulim...

For the first time Zi Ming did not cry while having his hair trimmed by a barber but we still can see his unhappy face during the session... great improvement, even the barber was surprised that he was not crying this time.

This week's mission: iron board cover

I made an iron board cover this week... we have 2 iron boards at our home and 1 of them the cover had been burnt for a few times... and it's now time to change. Actually the mission had been pended for a few months and finally this week it's successfully done... :)

I bought a sewing machine about 6-7 years ago and if I recalled correctly I haven't touch it again since 3 years ago, the last time I used it was to sew my elder's son bouncer's cover.

The boys were also having some fun cutting the remaining sponge from the iron board cover while I was sewing the cover...

 

Moon cakes

Bought 3 boxes of Moon Cakes from The Baker's Cottage at our company's canteen on Wednesday as they offered 25% discount for all moon cakes. 1 box for my in law, 1 box for my dad and another box for baby sitter...

This week's new stuff

Bought a few cute items this week - DIY molds for sandwich and egg & animals fruit picks... The boys loved them ♥♥:-D

Yu Ming's snack before lunch

Today I made heart shaped sandwiches for Yu Ming as snack before lunch.... actually I also made a heart shaped egg for BS  as I promised earlier for his breakfast but was not able to cook it as we're having visitor during our breakfast... but all were eaten by Yu Ming when I was washing in the kitchen and BS was going out for a while to buy things.

He left a heart shaped sandwich for his dad... finally BS shared his sandwich with Yu Ming seeing him liked the sandwich so much... it was Yu Ming's favorite sausage and egg sandwich.

Home cooked dinner

Today's dinner:
BS & Zi Ming favorite  potato koroke.
Yu Ming favorite fried chicken, this time added sour plum sauce.
New dish - mayonnaise sauced broccoli with prawns.
