Yeye's 63rd birthday

Yesterday was my FIL's 63rd birthday,  so we decided to overnight at kulim since we'll be having a small and simple birthday celebration at my in law's house.

I bought a very small and cute birthday cake for my FIL. He asked us not to buy any cake this round because they had concern on finishing it and also on health reason... we know that he likes cake so we decided to buy a small cake from Weeney bakery... It was a chocolate mango cake (250g).  BS also bought some KFC fried chicken and my MIL cooked some soup and fried noodles.  My FIL plan to have the birthday lunch the next day together with my sister in law because she will be coming back from KL the next day morning.

Merdeka! Malaysia National Day

Today is Malaysia National Day (Independence day)... yesterday Yu Ming brought back a self made merdeka hat and a Malaysia flag from his school. He was so happy and was wearing it all the way from Butterworth to Kulim...

The boys' hair cut

The boys were having their hair cut last Sunday at one of the barber shop in Kulim...

For the first time Zi Ming did not cry while having his hair trimmed by a barber but we still can see his unhappy face during the session... great improvement, even the barber was surprised that he was not crying this time.

This week's mission: iron board cover

I made an iron board cover this week... we have 2 iron boards at our home and 1 of them the cover had been burnt for a few times... and it's now time to change. Actually the mission had been pended for a few months and finally this week it's successfully done... :)

I bought a sewing machine about 6-7 years ago and if I recalled correctly I haven't touch it again since 3 years ago, the last time I used it was to sew my elder's son bouncer's cover.

The boys were also having some fun cutting the remaining sponge from the iron board cover while I was sewing the cover...

 

Moon cakes

Bought 3 boxes of Moon Cakes from The Baker's Cottage at our company's canteen on Wednesday as they offered 25% discount for all moon cakes. 1 box for my in law, 1 box for my dad and another box for baby sitter...

This week's new stuff

Bought a few cute items this week - DIY molds for sandwich and egg & animals fruit picks... The boys loved them ♥♥:-D

Yu Ming's snack before lunch

Today I made heart shaped sandwiches for Yu Ming as snack before lunch.... actually I also made a heart shaped egg for BS  as I promised earlier for his breakfast but was not able to cook it as we're having visitor during our breakfast... but all were eaten by Yu Ming when I was washing in the kitchen and BS was going out for a while to buy things.

He left a heart shaped sandwich for his dad... finally BS shared his sandwich with Yu Ming seeing him liked the sandwich so much... it was Yu Ming's favorite sausage and egg sandwich.

Home cooked dinner

Today's dinner:
BS & Zi Ming favorite  potato koroke.
Yu Ming favorite fried chicken, this time added sour plum sauce.
New dish - mayonnaise sauced broccoli with prawns.

Good morning from the boys

Good morning.... Zi Ming just woke up and Yu Ming was ready to go to school...

Yu Ming likes his sunglasses recently(bought by my cousin brother last year) because he said looked like Power Ranger... and also Ultra Seven (ultraman) was using a glasses to transform to ultraman...

It's almost 12am and we're still having our supper at home... peanut mua zhi from my MIL...

New bed sheet

As expected,  the boys were so happy with their new bed sheet... construction trucks bedsheet from Akemi.

Car polished & Outing @ shopping malls

Yesterday morning at around 11.15am, I drove my car to the Car International Sunway Carnival Mall to continue the 3 steps which we pended the day before. Maybe it was weekend and near Hari Raya, there were already 5 cars queuing to get services. The Cars personnel can't estimate the time my car will be ready for pickup because most of the cars were doing major services which would take long time, so they will call us when it is ready.

After that, I went to meet up BS and the kids at the main entrance as we're planning to go to Aeon Bandar Perda for the kids to have fun at the Aeon playground.

After some walk at the Aeon shopping mall, we still didn't receive any call from the Cars Int. so we decided to go home for the kids' nap time.

Finally at 6pm, Cars Int. called us and informed us that our car is ready to pickup. We went out again at 7pm to Sunway Carnival mall. Unfortunately I can't find my parking ticket anywhere in my handbag, so we planned to ask the Cars personnel whether they had seen any parking ticket in the car. They didn't see any while cleaning my car's interior, then we have to go to the security control room to report lost parking ticket and get a replacement parking ticket at a cost of RM10. After that did some walking at the mall and took photos with the minion poster (currently the most famous character) at the cinema.

Our supper

It's almost 1 in the morning and we still had our supper before bed... I cooked the Tom Yam instant noodles which I bought during the Hatyai trip last time... served together with iced Ribena...

Breakfast and Lunch

Today we had our breakfast at Pasar Bagan Ajam... I ordered Wonton Mee and BS ordered Char Kuey Kak...

For lunch, we went to Sushi Zento at Banday Sunway Seberang Jaya after our shopping at Sunway Carnival mall. First time visit and found that the environment was much more better compared to the one at Precinct 10 Tanjung Tokong.

Day off - Shopping @ Sunway Carnival Mall

Today I took another day off from work and went to get my car polished and did some shopping at the Sunway Carnival Mall.

While waiting for my car at the Cars International at the 3rd level parking space, BS and I went to have some walk at the mall. 

I bought a bed sheet for my kids, the bed sheet has the design of construction trucks which I think the kids will be crazy at. And then I got a Zebra thermal flask with 50% off by PWP on any other purchase of RM30 in a receipt... bought the flask at RM29.90.

After that, I went to the Espirit Outlet which was doing a promotion of 50% off from total bill for purchase of 5 items and above. I bought 7 pcs of clothes including 2 pcs for my kids and used my new RHB credit card for the bill. The total price was RM204 after less and was thinking that RHB will cash rebate RM100 as it's now doing the cash rebate promotion for any first purchase of minimum RM100. That's mean my purchase for those 7 pcs of clothes would be just RM102... :)

Cars International membership

Today planned to get my car polished at Cars International Sunway Carnival Mall. Our first time visit Cars International and successfully persuaded by the Cars personnel to subscribe 2 years membership. The original price was RM585 for 2 years and free a 3 steps package (worth RM378 - lacquer, polish & wax) together with wash & vacuum. By using Citibank card, we got the 2 years membership at the price of RM435, quite worth it because the member's price for other services were lower than the market price...

Put my car at their parking space while we're doing our shoppings at the mall. After about 2 and a half hour they still haven't start the service, the reason given was because of Hari Raya in next few days, most of the workers had been taking leave and there were some more cars queuing before us. So we pended the service to next morning.

Day off @ walk @ Gurney shopping malls

Today I took a day off from work and went for a walk with BS at Penang island. After dropped the kids at kindy and babysitter's house, we started our journey at around 10am.

After we had our breakfast at Lorong Selamat (Heng Huat Cafe),  we went do some walking and exploring the new opened shopping mall - Gurney Paragon Mall...

Shopped a Lesportsac handbag at Parkson Gurney... Discounted at 40%+10%.. normal price was RM320... and it was paid by BS...:)

Lunch at 'famous Bowl' at Gurney Plaza.

Went back by taking ferry again at 4pm... was planning to take some rest or nap in the car on the ferry.. Tired after the walk, should accept that we're old now... exhausted just after a few hours walk at shopping malls:( ... but still really enjoyed today's walk at Gurney :D

Today's masterpiece by the boys

Tonight both of our boys slept early around 10.30pm ... I think they're tired after scolded and time-out by their dad for their masterpiece on our TV cabinet using color pencils... Luckily I was able to clean the mark by using dish washing liquid...

Char Kuey Teow at Heng Huat Cafe Lorong Selamat

Today me and BS went to Penang's famous Lorong Selamat's Char Kuey Teow (red hat aunties) at Heng Huat Cafe...

We reached at about 11am and there's yet any customer in the restaurant. I think most of them are taking it as lunch since it open quite late for breakfast.

3 types with 3 prices available... RM7.50 (no egg), RM8 (with egg) and RM10(special)... Both of us ordered the special one (RM10).

The special one has 5 big prawns.. quite heavy breakfast for us... we should have just order 1 plate normal and 1 plate special... I couldn't finish my plate of char kuey teow maybe because it was a little bit oily for me and I'm quite full after taken all the big prawns.. Overall the taste was just overall good...
